The leader of the Indegeneous people of Biafra has been remanded in DSS custody for months now as Nigeria Government charges him with 7 count Amended Charges including terrorism and treason.
accoording to Lawer to Nnamdi Kanu, while confirming the development to BBC pidgin, he said The emergency trial of Nnamdi Kanu will resume on Thursday 2, December, 2021, at Abuja Federal high court.
Part of the hearing in the court will be an application that is seeking to Grant Nnamdi Kanu bail.
on the last court hearing on November 10, The Abuja high court had adjourned Kanu case to January 19, after lawyers staged a walk out.
Kanu’s emergency hearing is coming shortly after the Igbo Leaders visit the President Muhammadu Buhari and pleaded to him to release the IPOB leader, the group is led by Chief Mbazuluike Amaechi.
The 93 year old statesman is the first republic Parliamentarian and minister of Aviation, others who accompanied him are former Governor of Anambra State Chukwuma Ezeife, Bishop Sunday Onuoha of Methodist Church, Chief Barrister Goddy Uwazurike, Former president of Igbo cultural group, and Tagbo Mbazuluike Amaechi.
They pleaded the Nigerian President to consider the political solution to Kanu’s matter.
Buhari now asked them to go home that he will consider his release from DSS detention.
