Lagos Government Rejects #Endsars panel Report after white paper release

The Lagos State Government led by Governor Sanwo-Olu has rejected the outcome of the Lagos #EndSars Panel Report after they had confirmed that 11 people died at the Lekki Tollgate on the 20 October 2020.

The State Government said the Report where all filled with Assumptions and Speculation, that it has no proof.

The Lagos Governor earlier released the white paper over the #endsars panel Report and it rejects the Judicial Panel Report.

the Government also Critized the Report saying that it is filled with irregularities regarding the death toll at the Lekki Tollgate.

According to the Government, only one person died of gunshots wound at the Tollgate on the 20 October 2020 as confirmed by Professor Obafunwa.

“The evidence of the pathologist, Prof. Obafunwa, that only three of the bodies that were examined post mortem were from Lekki and only one had gunshot injury and this was not debunked,” the statement reads.

Governor of Lagos State Sanwo-Olu  formed a White Paper Committee, the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry on Restitution for Victims of SARS-Related Abuses and Other Matter submitted its #Ensars report on November 15, 2020. Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN) lead the four-member committee.

some other members of the committee includes Governor’s Special Adviser, Works, and Infrastructure, ENGR. (Mrs.) Aramide Adeyoye, Commissioner for Youths and Social Development, Mr. Segun Dawodu and Permanent Secretary, Cabinet Office, Mrs. Tolani Oshodi.
