Destiny Paul-Enenche, daughter of Dr. Paul Enenche, Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, has responded to backlash on social media over a luxury bag she was seen carrying.
In a video shared on Instagram, Destiny dismissed claims that the bag was purchased with church funds. She explained that the item, along with many of her other fashion accessories, were gifts. “Most of the things I own were given to me. They are not from church money,” she stated.
She further clarified that her parents are trained medical doctors as well as pastors, adding that her family does not depend on offerings or tithes for their personal lifestyle. “My parents worked as doctors before going into ministry. We do not live on church money,” Destiny emphasized.
The clarification comes amid online debates about the lifestyle of pastors’ families and how their personal spending is perceived by the public.
While some social media users welcomed her explanation, others argued that the issue reflects the broader scrutiny faced by prominent religious leaders in Nigeria.
