Reduce your prices to support Muslims Governor Abba Yusuf Urges Traders in Kaduna

Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has appealed to business owners in the state to lower the prices of essential commodities to ease the burden on Muslims during Ramadan.

Speaking at the distribution of 1,250 cartons of dates donated by Saudi Arabia at the Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano, on Friday, Yusuf emphasized the need for affordable food prices amid economic hardship.

“I call on our business community to be considerate and reduce the prices of essential commodities so that our people can maximize the benefits of Ramadan, both physically and spiritually,” he urged.

Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Farouk Ibrahim, the governor reassured residents that his administration is committed to tackling food insecurity and ensuring citizens do not suffer during the fasting period.

Yusuf also encouraged wealthy individuals and businesses to support the less privileged and promote unity within the community.

“Ramadan is a time for reflection, devotion, and helping those in need. I urge all Kano residents to support one another, maintain peace, and strengthen their faith during this sacred month,” he added.

His appeal comes amid rising food prices and economic challenges affecting millions across Nigeria.
