Police Inspector Found Dead in Ogun Hotel, Woman Missing

The lifeless body of Inspector Haruna Mohammed was discovered in a hotel room in Ogun State, sparking an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.

According to a police report, the officer checked into Super G Royal Hotel, located at 11 Anthony Uzum Estate, Oyeyemi Akute, in the early hours of Saturday, February 15, 2025, accompanied by an unidentified woman. However, by morning, she had disappeared.

At around 8:52 am, the hotel manager, Deborah Adejobi, noticed that the room was left unlocked. Upon checking inside, she found Inspector Mohammed’s lifeless body, while the woman who arrived with him was missing.

The hotel owner, Abiodun Olagunju, immediately reported the incident to the police. Further details from the report indicate that the woman had visited the reception desk at about 6:00 am to request table water, but she has not been seen since.

Authorities have launched a manhunt for the missing woman, who is considered a key figure in the ongoing investigation. Meanwhile, Inspector Mohammed’s body has been taken to the morgue for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

The incident has raised concerns about security in hotels and the need for better guest monitoring systems. Law enforcement officials have urged anyone with information about the missing woman or the circumstances leading to the officer’s death to come forward.

As investigations continue, authorities are working to unravel the mystery behind the tragic incident.
