Gernet Rohr has been sacked by NFF, see name of new Super Eagles coach

The Nigerian Super Eagles Coach Ghernet Rohr has been Sacked by the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF.

The NFF also appointed It’s Technical Director Austin Equavoen, to take charge of the Super eagles on interim Besics.

According to an Official statement by the NFF on Sunday it reads;

“This is with immediate effect, and follows the termination of the relationship with Franco-German Gernot Rohr, who has been in charge of the three–time African champions for the past 64 months, and is Nigeria’s longest–serving manager,”

 

The decision was concluded after a virtual meeting of the executives of NFF on Sunday.

 

Eguavoen will be working along with Salisu Yusuf, Paul Aigbogun, Joseph Yobo, Dr Terry Eguaoje and Aloysius Agu.

 

Adding that former Captains ‘Jay Jay’ Austine Okocha, Kanu Nwankwo, and Lawal Garba will be in charge of technical support and ambassadorial support.
The New Super Eagles Coach, Austin Equavoen will now be in of the 33re African cup of Nations that is taking place in Cameroon, from 9th January – 6th February 2022, until new head is appointed.
