Notorious bandit leader Babaro has reportedly kidnapped Brigadier General Maharazu Tsiga and is holding him hostage in Bununu Forest, located in Faskari Local Government Area (LGA), near the border with Ƙankara LGA, Katsina State.
Sources reveal that the abduction took place under highly coordinated circumstances, with Babaro’s gang ambushing the senior military officer.
Security forces have since launched an intensive search operation to rescue the Brigadier General and track down the kidnappers.
Bununu Forest, a known hideout for armed groups, has been a hotspot for bandit activities in recent years, posing a significant security threat in the region.
The kidnapping of such a high-ranking officer underscores the growing boldness of these criminal elements.
