”we didn’t ask her to come and Testify, Evangelist Ebuka Obi Denies Endorsing Fake Testimony at Zion

The Senior Pastor of Zion Ministry, Evangelist Ebuka Obi, has responded to the controversy surrounding a fake testimony given by a woman in his church, claiming she purchased a house worth millions of naira.

Addressing his congregation in a viral video, Evangelist Obi clarified that neither he nor his church had invited the woman to testify. He emphasized that his legal team had already filed a petition since Tuesday, investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

“We never asked her to come and testify,” he stated. “People should stop spreading false information that I endorsed the testimony.”

The pastor further explained that the house in question is located in Enugu, and his legal team is working to determine whether the woman came on her own or was sent by someone to tarnish the church’s reputation.

The controversy erupted after the woman stood before the congregation and claimed to have acquired a house worth ₦500 million. However, it was later discovered that her testimony was entirely false, leading to widespread criticism and backlash.

Evangelist Obi assured his followers that Zion Ministry remains committed to truth and integrity and will take necessary steps to prevent such incidents in the future.
