About two Indegeneous People of Biafra IPOB/ESN members has been shot Dead in Ebonyi State, after the Nigerian Police stormed thier hideout in the state.
According to Ebonyi state Police command they announced on Wednesday that the two suspected members where shot and killed instantly by the Police in Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi state
According to a statement by Police Public Relations Officer in Ebonyi State, ASP Levi Philips, he said the police team was informed on the location of there hideout before they stormed the location.
The Police said Ikwe Maduabuchi, 25, and one Onyekachi John, 28, where killed at the process and their remains has been deposited to Alex Ekwueme University Teaching Hospital Abakaliki.
He said,
“The incident happened around 3pm on Thursday. Items recovered from them include two AK-47 rifles, 40 rounds of live ammunition, two locally-made improvised explosive devices and some charms. Efforts are ongoing to arrest other fleeing members of the gang. The Commissioner of Police, CP Garba Aliyu, has assured residents of the state of their safety as they go about their normal business.”
