Controversial Nigerian preacher, Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, popularly known as Odumeje, has stirred social media debate after claiming that he is more intelligent than university graduates and highly educated individuals.
According to a report by PM News, the outspoken clergyman made the remarks during a recent church service, where he addressed parents on the importance of guiding their children toward meaningful academic pursuits.
“This is not the time to allow your daughter to pick just any course because a lecturer says, ‘this is what we have,’” Odumeje advised. “Parents should encourage their children to study serious courses that will give them value and direction in life.”
He went further to boast about his intellectual capacity, insisting that his level of reasoning surpasses that of many formally educated people. “I have read a lot of courses, and I can tell you I know them.
That I have not attended a university doesn’t mean I will allow you to make mistakes. I am more intelligent than even the educated ones. If it’s for my brain, I have a first-class certificate brain,” he said.
The preacher’s statement has drawn widespread reactions across social media platforms. While some of his followers applauded his confidence and described him as divinely inspired, others criticized his comments as arrogant and dismissive of formal education.
Odumeje, who is known for his flamboyant preaching style and unconventional declarations, has previously made headlines for similar bold remarks.
