Governor Nyesom Wike has denied the video that is circulating online about his defection to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
According to him he said the video has tampered with and he has no plans of leaving PDP who has made home what he he is today.
According to a statement signed by Wike media aid, Kelvin Ebiri, he was reacting to the viral video which revealed the governor is planning to defect APC.
In a statement released on Wednesday night, Ebiri insisted the video was intended to mislead members of the public.
Ebiri had explained that the video was an excerpt of an old interview that was granted to Wike on Arise TV in 2021 while reacting to the defection of the Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi, from the PDP to the APC.
“We urge the public to ignore the distorted video. Those behind it are desperately wicked and intend to mislead the public. Governor Wike remains a faithful, committed member of the PDP and will never leave it for the cancerous APC,” the statement read in part.
Wike is one the candidate being screened today who are believed to be Atiku’s vise in the All Progressive Congress.
