Buhari Responds to Lagos #Endsars Panel Report, tells US next action

President of the federal republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, has reacted over #Endsars Protesters killing at the Lekki toll gate on the 20th October 2020.

Recall that Lagos State Judicial Panel on Police Brutality has submitted it’s report to Babajide Sanwo-Olu, indicting that Police and Army truly commit massacre of unarmed Protesters at the Lekki toll Gate, on the 20 October 2020 and planned to cover it up.

Human rights activists, government critics, the international community are among those who have asked the Nigerian government to act on the report of the panel.

Buhari while speaking during a meeting with US secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, said the federal Government will take up the report after the Lagos State  Government has concluded on it.

“Federal Government will allow the system to exhaust itself, and will, therefore, wait for pronouncements from state governments which set up panels to probe police brutality in the country”

“So many state governments are involved, and have given different terms of reference to the probe panels,” Femi Adesina, presidential spokesman, quoted Buhari to have said.

“We at the Federal have to wait for the steps taken by the states, and we have to allow the system to work. We can’t impose ideas on them. Federal Government has to wait for the reaction of the states.”
