Senator Ned Nwoko has debunked viral reports claiming he has impregnated Nollywood actress Chika Ike and plans to make her his seventh wife. The Nigerian lawmaker and husband to actress Regina Daniels dismissed the speculation as false and malicious.
In a statement released on his official X handle, Nwoko made it clear that the news making rounds is completely fabricated.
His Director of Communications also issued an official statement, clarifying that the rumors are a product of attention-seeking bloggers.
“We categorically state that these claims are entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculation.
Similarly, reports claiming he made statements about Tuface and polygamy are completely untrue,” the statement read.
The senator’s office emphasized that Nwoko is currently focused on his political duties and has no time for such distractions.
The statement further urged media practitioners to verify their information before publishing and warned against the consequences of spreading fake news.
Nwoko, who has been at the center of similar rumors in the past due to his polygamous lifestyle, reaffirmed that only official statements from his office should be trusted.
As the news continues to circulate, his team has advised the public to disregard the rumors, emphasizing that credible journalism should not rely on unverified speculations.
