An investigation into the brutal killings of seven elderly women in Ubaha Orsu, Imo State, has uncovered the face behind the attacks.
According to findings in Orsu Province, a gang led by Chinecherem Uzoramaka, also known as “AK,” was responsible for the violent invasion of the community.
Armed with cutlasses and axes, Uzoramaka and his five-man gang indiscriminately murdered elderly men and women.
The gang, claiming to be part of the Biafra Liberation Army or Eastern Security Network (ESN), has also carried out similar attacks in Amaokpara Ihitenansa, Eziawa, and Awo Idemili, leaving innocent civilians dead.
The terror unleashed by this group has caused widespread fear in the Orsu LGA, with local communities desperately trying to strengthen security measures.
On January 28, 2025, Trembuz reported an attack on Ubaha Orsu, where civilians going about their daily activities were slaughtered in cold blood under the pretext of the Biafra conflict.
The repeated assaults have heightened tensions in the region, prompting urgent calls for intervention.
Local authorities and security forces are now on high alert as efforts to track down and dismantle the gang intensify.
