Governor Nyesom Wike may become Atiku’s Running mate in the upcoming 2023 general election in Nigeria.
Atiku Abubakar whose the Presidential Flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party “PDP” may pick Nyesom Wike as his running mate on the upcoming general election.
The decision was reached after a closed door meeting held by a committee setup to oversee the selection process on Tuesday.
reports has it that the Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa was part of the Peoples considered for the position but several ranking members of the party opted for Wike.
The Rivers state Governor made headlines after he emerged second in the Party’s Presidential Primaries.
There are rumors that Wike would have won the Presidential ticket of APC if not for the decision of fellow Aspirants and Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal.
