President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed sadness after 40 Passengers has been killed by suspected bandits in Sokoto state.
The suspected Bandits was reportedly attack group of passenger along Sokoto Road and burn them alive while they are inside thier buses.
This was disclosed by a statement by Buhari through his spokes man, Femi Adeshina on Wednesday.
According to a report by DAILY POST, suspected bandits attacked the passengers at Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State, who set their vehicles ablaze and burn them alive.
“I am very distressed at the manner of death visited on these hapless citizens who were undertaking a legitimate journey to another part of the country,” Buhari said.
“It shows that the evil this administration is confronting is one that requires the support and involvement of all Nigerians.
“I extend deep condolences to the families of the victims as I assure that the security agencies will continue to give their all to bring to an end the operations of these despicable people.”
